[seven-degrees] Laguna Beach
[seven-degrees] will be hosting a party that will literally be out of this world.
Laguna Beach � December 14, 2005 � In conjunction with Australian artist Matthew Joscelyne, [seven-degrees] will be hosting a New Years Eve event to launch the proposal for the largest temporary sculpture installation in Southern California. Along with live performances and music, Joscelyne will give Southern California its first sneak preview of �One Planet, One People, One Universe� at midnight with a count down lighting show.
Starting at 7 p.m. till late, there will be must-see performances by the Burning Man performers, along with two DJ�s, and the March Fourth Marching Band, Portland's biggest party band who mix the folk with the funk. Along with multi media and audio experiences, Joscelyne and [seven-degrees] will exhibit projections the plants of the solar system; an artist painted and illuminated artwork that is out of this world!
�It�s a party not to be missed� said [seven-degrees] Artistic Director, Dora Wexell. �We are delighted to be able to host this event, with 100% of the ticket sales going to funding exciting and innovative public art in Laguna Beach.�
This launch for the proposed �One Planet, One People, One Universe� installation will culminate with �The Big Bang� in 2006/07. This exciting project mixes the arts and sciences in an exhibition to electrify the senses and expand the experience of people�s role and responsibilities for the planet. �I am excited to be able to give people a look at what is possibly to come.� Said Joscelyne.
