Re: burning man and woo
Tue, July 26, 2005 - 4:41 PMHello, so burningman decisions can be sooooooo stressfull! LoL Right now I am discussing with Vatra who is organizing the Pyronauts international fire arts conclave group (30+people) and we have not made up our minds yet between Woomb or Brain... very Yin - Yang in a funny sort of way. Brain has a community kitchen which sounds pretty appealing for some, myself am nutral for I enjoy cooking with smaller groups of friends, though the potluck party vibe of a large community meal sounds fun too. I struggle with the idea of trying to schedule around meals, or anything else for that matter in Burningman. Where is Woomb located this year? The concensis I have gotten from those I have spoken to is that we want to be near center camp and away from the big sound systems. Please share any thoughts, declared needs and idea's. -

Wed, July 27, 2005 - 8:54 PMwe have been trying to change the name to NOW but it is too late, so, we are WOOMB on the map .... Anyway...
we are going to hopefully be around the same area as last year, near brain, etc... we asked to be camped near all of our extended family. officially, we are still awaiting placement. should come tomorrow.
in our camp is a
central kitchen, not a scheduled meal time but open for people to use, tea area 24 hours
*super amazing shower by tucker
*Steel sculpture by shira loa - a smaller version @ portland.tribe.net/template...ext/pcard and see the shadows through it @ portland.tribe.net/template...ext/pcard
shadow lanterns by enok: portland.tribe.net/template...ext/pcard and portland.tribe.net/template...ext/pcard for your viewing pleasure
lighting and torches
flags
family living room in a large central structure
yoga space and meditation area
and beautiful, creative, enthusiastic peeps!
we are still open to collaboration, and this seems the perfect number of peeps to collaborate with. we are trying to figure transportion of essentials, plus sculpture materials, generator (do you have?) and structures.... our dues will be $25.
we are presently compiling a resource list, and we would love to collaborate on this and everything else. our cut off for folks is 77.5 people. :)
we want you!
